Liminal Hours — A Quiet, Stubborn Triumph in an Era of Constant Sound

Across eleven tracks that often sit in stillness for whole minutes at a time, Avet builds a record that asks listeners to do the one thing the streaming economy has trained us out of — wait. The result is the most affecting album of her career, and one of the most quietly radical records of the year.
